Job Description

Bodywork Finisher  
To perform high quality bodywork on elements using correct materials and supplies representing the skills and capabilities held by the company. To accurately represent the desired look and feel of a client’s proposed project. 

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operates and uses all body shop equipment properly. 
  • Removes rust from metal, and grease and dirt from work surface
  • Masks and protects elements that are not to be painted or coated
  • Fills cavities and dents with putty to attain smooth surface while ensuring sculpted elements keep the integrity as defined in Client IP
  • Cooperates and assists other personnel in the repair and prepping of elements
  • Maintains tools and keeps equipment clean and in a proper state of repair
  • Keeps work area clean.
  • Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer
  • Complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners, and other hazardous materials
  • Understands, keeps abreast of and complies with federal, state and local regulations that affect body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know etc.
Qualifications/Experience/ Skills and Attributes Required:
  • 2-years’ experience in bodywork and/or sculpt
  • Good knowledge of production machinery and techniques
  • Commitment to, and working knowledge of, workplace Health, Safety, Environment & Quality.
  • Possess excellent people management skills including:
  • Communicating and working with people at all levels of the organization, and of diverse cultures
  • Being approachable
  • Remaining objective and non-reactive with others 
  • Mentoring staff
Preferred:
  • Exposure to theme park sectors would be advantageous.
  • Experience using relevant computer systems and engineering drawings.
  • Good time management and planning skills.
Work Schedule / Conditions
•    While performing the duties of this job, the employee works in a warehouse setting.
•    Hours: 6am – 2:30pm (MON-FRI)
o    30-minute lunch (unpaid)
o    15-minute break (paid)
