Plaster Plasterer/Plaster mixer operator
Objective To perform tasks aligned with the plaster operations to accurately represent the desired look and feel of a client’s proposed project and provide an excellent finished product representing the skills and capabilities held by the company.
Responsibilities - Applying various type of finish coat.
- Operate or tend machines to mix or blend any of a wide variety of material and move the hose.
- Starts and stops machine on signals from Plasterer.
- Fills hopper of machine with plaster.
- Perform daily routine maintenance (excluding mechanical repair), oiling, gassing, greasing and cleaning of all plaster mixers and plastering machines, pipes and the handling of hoses (including extensions)
- Assists in modifying scaffolds with direction from competent scaffold.
- Responsible for adherence to cement mix design specification of project requirements.
- Responsible for general review of finished activity.
Qualifications: Requirements:
- Must be able to read, comprehend and carry out simple instructions from oral or written communications.
- Demonstrate ability to interact and communicate well within all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrate ability to adjust to sudden changes in operational goals/demands.
- Excellent teamwork to achieve flawless results.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Good knowledge of materials, tools, equipment and machinery.
- Experience with carving
Additional Requirements
- Good knowledge of materials, tools, and techniques.
- Ability to read and understand written procedures which apply directly to job duties
- Applied craftsmanship in plastering in various and sundry materials.
- Thorough knowledge of plastering trade practices and must be skilled in applying work methods and techniques.
- Good mechanical skills.
- Strong knowledge of site equipment and building techniques.
Will be required to submit reference photos
Working Conditions / Schedule - While performing the duties of this job, this is an in-field position and hours will be determined by the Superintendent (based on daylight hours and project needs).
- Work environment will change often and will require consistent awareness to surroundings and potential dangers to themselves and others.
- May be required to work under extreme environmental conditions and work from excessive heights with high reach equipment and/or scaffolding elevations.
- Physical Requirements: The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. with assistance from others or lifting devices from floor to waist and waist to floor.
- Ability to walk, stand, hear, see in order to reasonably perform essential job functions.
- Abilities include drag, pull, lift, push, bend, kneel, climb, overhead work, torque and other repetitive motions.
- Must have agility and a good sense of balance, willing to work in high places.
