The Production Assembler will be responsible for work according to customer specifications to assemble material and/or parts. The job consists of working in a manufacturing assembly cell, assembling material by hand or using small hand-operated equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Read work orders and standardized work to position and align parts in specific relationship to each other, jig, fixture or other holding device
- Follow directions from Supervisor
- Fill in any open positions in a given department, as needed
- Mount assembly components and hardware
- Assemble and test various materials or products
- Perform basic quality and testing checks
- Oversee machines that press, shape, and cut various assemblies
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain neat and orderly work areas and observe all safety rules
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 1-3 years of assembly experience in a TS, AS or ISO facility
- Must be detailed oriented
- Basic math skills – addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Must be proficient in reading, writing and speaking English
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds on a consistent basis
- Ability to bend, kneel, lift, stand, and walk on hard surfaces such as concrete on a regular basis
