Bakery Supervisor/ Team Lead Bakery Supervisor
This position Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in mixing, dividing, molding and proofing of dough, and in baking, slicing, and packaging of bread and buns.
What You Will Do:
Supervises, trains and coaches production associates on a day to day basis.
Coordinates, maintains and monitors production processes and procedures.
Monitors and ensures Product Quality is an absolute priority.
Understand level of scrap and rework in area caused by equipment issues and associated points of cause.
Report accurate scrap counts to office staff for tracking, labor waste and damaged product on a daily basis.
Conduct and coordinate routine safety and sanitation inspections to promote employee safety and good housekeeping.
Responsible for reporting and taking necessary action to prevent food safety and food quality problems from occurring.
Responsible for following, enforcing General Plant Safety, Food Safety, and Good Manufacturing Practices are priority setting examples to others.
Reports daily shift notes and production results
Implements Company and plant procedures and policies
Holds safety meetings and shift meetings as needed to keep the department functioning
Coordinate and complete weekly work schedules
Responsible for completing absentee slips, accident reports and issuing attendance disciplinary warnings per the Absenteeism & Tardiness Policy.
Other duties as assigned.
What You Will Have:
1-2 years Supervisory experience working in a Bakery facility. (Manufacturing)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong sense of urgency
Excellent leadership skills
Ability to problem solve and analyze line operations with minimal guidance
Able to work a flexible work schedule to meet the demands of 24 hour a day operation including nights, weekends and holidays
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office application
Sound judgement, decision making, and problem solving skills
$30.00/hr
3rd shift – 10pm – 7am Plus OT (10 hrs on average)
