Rockwork Field Lead Bilingual Preferred Construction Team Lead
Responsible to directly and through others for accurately forming in rebar/FRP natural and man-made exhibit elements and/or specific components in producing artificial themed environments by the way of different types of mediums.
Responsibilities: - Responsible for adhering to all Company and Project safety programs, policies, and procedures as well as all Federal, State, and local safety codes and regulations
- Responsible in Lead capacity for specific function of projects and areas assigned.
- Business related communication with middle management and peer group and attains good interpersonal skills.
- Applied expertise and craftsmanship to shape/bend and secure/tie steel bar in order to reinforce concrete with use of a variety of fasteners, rod-bending and cutting tools, and various hand tools
- Assists in all aspects involved in the reproduction from blueprints and design documents of armature and other construction structures required
- Oversees the operation and maintenance of concrete pumps, plaster pumps and air compressors and various power and hand tools
- Knowledge and advanced experience in various fabricated items, installation, and welding techniques (arc and mig)
- Assists in the creation of samples and/or models as needed by specific projects.
- Supervisory level to assist with the development of plans to achieve project objectives and final client approval.
- Required to make decisions during the process of executing responsibilities.
- Responsible directly for review of activities in progress and general review of finished activity.
- Oversees and reviews work of crew assigned and assists in the training of new employees.
Qualifications: Required: - Minimum of five-years’ experience as a rockworker in the artificial theming industry
- Good supervisory, organizational, and people skills.
- Good knowledge of the materials, tools, equipment, and machinery that are used in the industry is preferred.
- Able to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with all customers, team members and management
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Ability to take initiative and prioritize.
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred: - Bilingual in English/Spanish
- Certification in OSHA 10 Safety Training
Working Conditions / Schedule - While performing the duties of this job, this is an in-field position and hours will be determined by the Superintendent (based on daylight hours and project needs).
- Work environment will change often and will require consistent awareness of surroundings and potential dangers to themselves and others.
- May be required to work under extreme environmental conditions and work from excessive heights with high reach equipment and/or scaffolding elevations.
- Physical Requirements: The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. with assistance from others or lifting devices from floor to waist and waist to floor.
Ability to walk, stand, hear, see in order to reasonably perform essential job functions.
Abilities include drag, pull, lift, push, bend, kneel, climb, overhead work, torque and other repetitive motions.
Must have agility and a good sense of balance, willing to work in high places.
$34.00-36.00/hr Permanent
