Shipping Coordinator

Shipping/Receiving Department

Minimum Qualifications:

• Previous experience in shipping/warehouse department for a manufacturing facility.
• Proficiency in shipping software (Example: ERP,MRP or SAP) tools.
• Attention to details and accuracy in handling materials.
• Ability to lift and move moderate to heavy materials (up to 50lbs) and stand for extended periods.
• Strong communication skills to converse effectively with incoming drivers, scheduling pickup with freight companies and team members.
• Intermediate computer skills for Data Entry and Recordkeeping

Job Duties:

• Assist in the preparation of outgoing shipments, ensure proper packaging and labeling
• Maintain organized records of shipped materials
• Operate basic warehouse equipment, such as hand trucks, pallet jacks and forklift
• Collaborate with team members to load and unload trucks as needed
• Oversee the preparation of outgoing shipments, including scheduling carriers, optimizing loads, and managing transportation logistics
• Troubleshoot and resolve shipping issues that may arise
• Collaborate with other departments to improve supply chain and inventory control processes
• Operate and maintain more advanced warehouse equipment
• Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and orderly workspace
