Production Associate
Compounder

 
Job Summary:
 
The Production Associate will work on all lines to ensure production standards are met. Perform duties to operate manual and/or automated equipment to complete assembly of aerosol cans.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate automated capper and tuber to place caps and/or locate tubes as specified on work order.
  • Operate automated spouter to place spout on product.
  • Perform minor adjustments to equipment to place caps and locate tubes and properly place spouts.
  • Place caps, tips, and spouts on aerosol cans individually and manually or in a series to complete specified product.
  • Clear minor jams on equipment.
  • Notify shift lead or maintenance team of major adjustments or problems.
  • Inspect components and/or completed product for damage and to maintain quality standards.
  • Pack completed product into cartons.
  • Strip defective labels from cans for re-labeling.
  • Staple corrugated cartons manually.
  • Employees must be able to be a team player and give and receiving instructions.
  • Work well with others.
  • Work from production line sheets and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Follow safety rules and keep work area clean and orderly.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to lift up to 40lbs repetitively.
  • Must be able to read, write, and comprehend the English language.
  • Must be able to give and receive instructions:
  • Must possess and demonstrate mechanical aptitude.
  • Willingness to work in other areas and jobs as determined by management.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND/OR CERTIFICATION
•    High School Diploma or GED.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
 
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and talk or hear and stand on concrete for 8-10 hours each day. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, and the ability to focus.
 
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
 
Employee experiences constant interruptions and inflexible deadlines.  The noise-level in this environment is quiet to moderate.  Duties are performed indoors. No cell phones are allowed on the production floor. 
 
$19.00-$22.00/hr DOE
1st shift: 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

$19.50-$22.50/hr DOE
2nd shift: 4:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.
