TRANSPORTATION COORDINATOR/ CLERK
Coordinate the freight to be routed for timely pickup and receipt.
JOB DUTIES:
- Must comply with all EH&S regulations for the protection of the environment and maintain safe working conditions.
- Policies, procedures, and work instructions must be adhered to for quality assurance and customer satisfaction.
- Schedule orders for pickup via LTL and truckload shipments with internal and external vendors.
- Prepare paperwork for shipments (i.e. to Canada, PYLX).
- Measure freight for shipment; correct problems with load and audit shipping documents.
- Fill out and obtain Bill of Lading for on-hand storage.
- Order supplies for shipping department.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Perform basic math computations.
- High level of computer competency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (Manhattan, SAP).
- Ability to handle the pressure of deadlines, coupled with frequent interruptions.
- Ability to become familiar with operating practices of a distribution center.
- Employee must be certified in-house to operate powered industrial vehicles, if applicable.
TRAINING
- High school diploma or GED.
- Logistics or Warehouse Management experience preferred.
- Advanced computer experience.
Monday-Thursday 6:00 AM- 4:30 PM
$18.50/hr.
