Machine Operator/Extrusion Operator
This role oversees all production equipment with essential duties that include start up and operation of heavy machinery. In this role, you will ensure that all machinery is running efficiently, producing quality product, and complete minor mechanical work.
Responsibilities:
- Consistently and safely operate thermoforming machines at or above standard levels of operation including safety, quality, efficiency, scrap, and utilization. This includes packing finished product into bags and boxes.
- Troubleshoot, identify and correct machine related problems through proper adjustments to various parts of the machine.
- 1 Year Manufacturing experience.
- Provide support and guidance to less experienced personnel.
- Complete appropriate end of shift paperwork, accounting for crewing time, machine time, and production quantities.
- Inspect and recognize defective product and make machine adjustments to correct cause of defects.
- Observe all housekeeping, standard work, and safety guidelines.
- Perform other work-related duties as needed.
Requirements:
- Qualified candidates’ will have 1-year experience in a fast-paced production environment with some mechanical knowledge of industrial systems.
- Manual Dexterity
- Extrusion experience
- Hand/eye coordination
- Math Skills (calculators to determine and record production data)
- Complete required training/documentation to be a B – Operator within specified time frame.
- Mechanical aptitude demonstrated problem solving skills and effective communication skills – written and verbal are required.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to stand on your feet and work for an entire 12-hour shifts
$18.50/HR
