Machine Operator
Job Summary
The Machine Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating converting machinery while ensuring high-quality production output. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and flexibility to assist in other areas such as packing, loading, maintenance, or material handling as operational needs arise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and maintain assigned converting machines (e.g., slitter scorer, die cutter, flexo folder gluer).
- Monitor production processes to maintain consistency, quality, and minimize downtime.
- Conduct routine quality checks and perform basic machine troubleshooting.
- Record accurate production data, including quantities, waste, and machine settings.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and immediately report any hazards or incidents.
- Assist with training helpers or subordinates under the direction of the Floor Supervisor or Production Manager.
Additional Support Duties:
- Support maintenance activities such as cleaning, lubrication, or light repairs.
- Assist with material staging, loading/unloading, and pallet organization.
- Participate in shift change communication and maintain a clean, organized workstation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in manufacturing or machine operation preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn multiple machine functions.
- Ability to lift 25–50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts or assist in other departments as needed.

$19.00–$23.00 per hour based on experience
1st Shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Overtime available)
