Forklift Operator Bilingual
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down/Clamp) in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures and OSHA regulations.
- Load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials using forklifts or other material handling equipment.
- Inspect forklifts daily before operation, completing pre-shift inspection checklists and reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Accurately pick orders using RF scanners, pick lists, or other inventory management systems.
- Verify load accuracy and ensure proper documentation.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by documenting movements and locations of materials.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and other personnel to coordinate tasks and resolve issues.
- Participate in warehouse cleaning and maintenance activities.
- Follow all company policies and procedures regarding safety, security, and quality.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Maintain Steady Flow of Product: Operators are expected to unload a minimum of 12 trailers per shift. Keep the floor consistently stocked with materials to meet production needs.
- Specifically, if applicable: Use pallet jacks or other manual material handling equipment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Proven experience (3 years) operating forklifts in a warehouse/manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills (e.g., data entry, RF scanner operation) are a plus.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and regulations.
- Experience with RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
Physical Demands:
- This position requires prolonged standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, and lifting.
- Must be able to work in varying temperatures and conditions (e.g., hot, cold, dusty).
- Must be able to operate machinery with precision and dexterity.
- Must be able to see clearly and have good depth perception.
- Must be able to hear and understand instructions and warnings.
Work Environment:
- Warehouse/Manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to noise, dust, and moving equipment.
- Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Bilingual Preferred
1st Shift (6am-2:30pm)
2nd Shift (3pm-11:30pm)
Plus OT
$24.42/hr ($19.44hr + $4.98 for Health and wellness)
