Press Operator Molding/Set Up
Set up, trouble shoot and operate a range of molding presses and machinery to produce rubber molded sealing products and inspecting finished products for compliance against acceptance criteria.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate equipment to assist in the assembly of products. This includes trimming, welding, cutting, coating, heating, counting and packaging.
- Check equipment and tool settings against specifications before operation, adjusting when necessary.
- Document work completed using the appropriate procedures.
- Monitor inventory and alert Operations Supervisor when supplies are running low.
- Follow safety procedures and safety policy at all times. Notify the Operations Supervisor of unsafe or hazardous working conditions immediately.
- Manufacture, pick, and inspect products for compliance against acceptance criteria.
- Report issues or problems with production, quality, and safety to immediate supervisor or Coach
- 5S Housekeeping and work area cleaning tasks.
- Precisely follow instructions as outlined on the press card, standard work or work instructions.
- Other tasks and assignments consistent with knowledge and training.
Additional Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned)
- Operate multiple injection molding machines, remove molded gaskets from the tool cavity, and trim excess rubber from the gasket.
- Inspect molded parts for damage or defects and package finished goods.
- Minor troubleshooting of press operations when issues arise.
- Complete hourly production reporting.
- Team members are classified as Operators if they can operate up to 89% of production machinery.
Long Term
1st shift- 6am to 230pm – $17.75hr
2nd shift 2pm – 1030pm- $18.00hr
3rd shift- 10pm – 630am- $18.05hr
