Warehouse Pick & Packer
The Pick & Pack role is responsible for shipping packages for various departments in the warehouse. This position requires the worker to retrieve orders from our various internet sources, verify quantities, details (name, address, date, weight, etc.), and package them securely for mailing. Packages may also come from other departments within the warehouse for shipping preparation and dispatchment. The Pick Packer is also responsible for maintaining inventory, product quality, and reporting accordingly.
Requirements:
- This position requires keen attention to detail to accurately fulfill orders.
- Organizational skills are essential for keeping inventory organized and accessible, and to ensure accurate packing and
- shipping processes.
- This role involves standing, bending, and lifting.
- Basic mathematics skills are required to verify quantities and maintain inventory control.
Job Responsibilities:
- Select quality goods from our inventory to accurately match the customer’s orders.
- Follow established shipping instructions, using correct accounts.
- Use shipping software to create shipping labels and documents
- Ensure the safe travel of products by carefully and safely packaging content.
- Prepare larger orders that require palletization of product; collect weights and dimensions to coordinate pick up.
- After packing and labeling orders, move packages to the shipping area.
- Provide tracking numbers to departments as required.
- Keep excellent records of outgoing materials to maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Monitor product quality and bring to the attention of supervisor any deficient material.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Manage and maintain a monthly inventory, track stock levels, and ensure accuracy of records.
- Keep Finished Goods area organized to easily access products and facilitate inventory.
- Maintain an active collaboration with different departments, vendors, and team members to ensure smooth operations.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience preferred, but will train the right candidate
- Communication:
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
