FULFILLMENT SUPERVISOR
Position Summary
The Fulfillment Manager is responsible for overseeing all order fulfillment operations, ensuring customer orders are picked, packed, processed, and shipped accurately and on time. This position leads fulfillment teams, manages labor and productivity, ensures compliance with food safety and quality standards, and drives operational excellence throughout the fulfillment process. The Fulfillment Manager partners closely with Inventory, Receiving, Shipping, Quality, Customer Success, and Operations leadership to maintain high service levels, inventory accuracy, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
Fulfillment Operations Management
- Oversee all daily fulfillment activities, including order picking, packing, staging, and shipment preparation.
- Ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately, completely, and within established service level agreements (SLAs).
- Monitor workflow and staffing levels to meet daily volume requirements.
- Coordinate labor resources to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Manage order prioritization to meet customer deadlines and shipping commitments.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase throughput and reduce errors.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach, and develop Fulfillment Supervisors, Leads, and Fulfillment Associates.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing employee development.
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Support hiring, onboarding, training, and retention initiatives.
- Ensure team members understand operational expectations and performance standards.
Performance Management
- Monitor fulfillment KPIs and operational metrics.
- Analyze productivity, quality, and labor performance.
- Develop corrective action plans when performance targets are not achieved.
- Manage labor costs, overtime, and staffing efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve operational performance.
Inventory & Order Accuracy
- Partner with Inventory teams to ensure inventory accuracy and product availability.
- Ensure proper product handling, lot control, and FIFO procedures are followed.
- Investigate fulfillment errors and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor inventory shortages and communicate issues proactively.
Food Safety & Quality Compliance
- Ensure compliance with BRC, GMP, HACCP, customer, and company food safety standards.
- Verify proper handling of food products throughout the fulfillment process.
- Ensure product integrity and traceability requirements are maintained.
- Support customer audits, internal audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Maintain compliance with sanitation and quality requirements.
Customer Service & Client Support
- Support customer/client satisfaction by ensuring accurate and timely order fulfillment.
- Partner with Customer Success and Operations teams to resolve service issues.
- Assist with onboarding new customers and implementing fulfillment requirements.
- Ensure customer-specific operating procedures are followed.
Safety Responsibilities
- Promote and enforce OSHA and company safety standards.
- Ensure safe operation of warehouse equipment and adherence to safety procedures.
- Conduct safety observations and support corrective action initiatives.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and operational safety concerns.
- Foster a culture focused on injury prevention and workplace safety.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

- Previous experience working in freezer conditions preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service and operational focus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in warehouse, cooler, and freezer environments.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment following training and certification requirements.
Additional Expectations
- Employees may be assigned to receiving, inventory, picking, packing, shipping, quality, sanitation, freezer/cooler operations, or other warehouse functions as needed to meet operational requirements.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned, including work outside the primary scope of the position, to support business operations and customer requirements.
