Administrative Assistant

$17.00-$20.00/hr
Mon-Thurs/ Part time 30 hours per week
Temporary to Hire
 

Summary: Assist in activities supporting a three-attorney Law office.  

Responsibilities:

  • Fielding telephone calls
  • Receiving and directing visitors
  • Typing and word processing
  • Creating spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations
  • Preparing mailings
  • Sorting and delivering mail
  • Copying, binding and scanning
  • Maintaining law library
  • Updating Law Department’s compliance website (ministerial actions)
  • Scheduling meetings and conference calls
  • Making travel arrangements and assisting with expense reports
  • Maintaining filing systems (computer and manual)
  • Drafting light correspondence and memos
  • Proofreading copy for spelling, grammar and layout, and making appropriate changes
  • Performing other administrative duties as needed

Experience:

  • Two years or more related experience in a law firm, corporation or similar environment.

Computer Skills:

  • The candidate must be able to conduct Internet searches and be proficient in several basic business software programs, including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat and a variety of Internet browsers, and to learn and use the company’s database.
