Claims Specialist


  • Calculate & process all broker commissions, customer/end user programs, and miscellaneous check requests.
  • Requests payments in an efficient and accurate manner per audit guidelines and processing schedule.
  • Create and administer all trade spend and customer/end user programs in various systems.
  • Maintain Contract Feeder and Account Listing Databases.
  • Work with Sales & Customer to identify and resolve all Customer Program/ Trade Spend related deductions.
  • Create detailed customer volume reports and extrapolate growth as it applies to Customer Program Incentives.
  • Perform various other ad hoc reporting.
  • In locations where applicable, responsible to comply with the SQF and GMP practices and programs to ensure safe food packaging product and to report food safety problems to those with authority to take action.  



  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • AA in Finance or Accounting preferred.


  • 2+ years of related professional experience in Finance, Customer Service or Claims.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.


  • Proficient in MS Office with high proficiency in Excel.
  • Experience with large, automated financial systems such as SAP or JDE.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the organization.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple accountabilities and multiple internal customers.
  • Strong analytical skills as well as organizational skills.
  • Exercise sound judgment with the ability to take calculated risks and make risk/return recommendations.
  • Ability to be discreet with confidential information.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule during key business deadlines.
  • Must be team oriented with the ability to work on high collaboration and performance teams
