Job Description

HR Assistant 

Shakopee, MN 55379

$17.00/hr

Temporary

6am, 7am or 8am start time 

GENERAL SUMMARY   

Provides administrative support to the Human Resources Department in all areas of personnel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Processes paperwork for new hires and terminations. 
  • Maintains employee files with current job positions, wages, addresses, and emergency contacts.
  • Provides customer service to all company employees by acting as a contact person for basic employee relation questions. 
  • Provides administrative assistance with projects.
  • Efficiently filling all open temp assignments based on supervisor provided temporary order form. 
  • Ensures employees are appropriately screened and processed to begin assignments.
  • New hire orientation process, including GMP training, time clock, etc.
  • Facilitate employee training using Alchemy.
  • Assist new hires in the onboarding process with understanding their role and integrating them in their group.
  • Submit weekly timecards to appropriate temporary agency.
  • Process and review temporary agency invoicing.
  • Complete HR projects as assigned by the HR Manager.
  • Other duties and/responsibilities may change due to changes in business, customer needs and changing staff etc.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Intermediate skills in Word, Excel, and PC Mail. 
  • Paylocity and Novatime experience helpful. 
  • Must have experience with office equipment to include printer, copier, and fax machine.
