Procurement Coordinator


Essential Job Functions

The following duties are normal for this position. The incumbent may perform some or all of these duties however; it is not an exclusive or all-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned.
• Review daily inbound product forecasts against customer orders and identify shortages
• Verify the accuracy of incoming shipments by comparing items and quantities unloaded against receiving records
• Coordinate the flow of materials, reports discrepancies between actual inventory and recorded inventory, and communicates any other concerns.
• Review materials delivered to verify accuracy and checks for damaged goods.
• Monitor, document and resolve base materials issues in progress
• Review the accuracy of material needed for specific jobs, applying knowledge of logistics support requirements and processes.
• Identify expiration dates, total base in production run, inbound scheduled base shipments, and In On Base materials.
• Research and resolve all overage aged liquidation orders with Shipping Department.
• Uses computerized systems to compile reports of quantity and type of material on hand.
• Compiles production records in order to locate material using manual or computerized systems.
• Performs day-to-day routine tasks, in accordance with established guidelines, and receives specific guidance from a supervisor or other official for handling of unusual non-routine problems.
• Create Carrier Report Card Report to identify overall carrier performance
• Serve as backup to Scheduler and Project Manager  
• Other duties that may be assigned to meet company and departmental goals and objectives

Education & Experience
• Education Required – High School Degree
• Education Desired - Bachelor’s Degree
• Three to Five years of related experience


• Knowledge of and ability to use and influence organization's policies, standards and procedures guiding manufacturing processes
• Knowledge of strategies and tools for controlling and optimizing the factors that lie between the purchase of raw materials and delivery of finished products
• Ability to effectively manage the business relationship and transactions with the supplier of raw materials or product components
• Knowledge of issues and considerations for effectively managing local or distributed inventories of raw materials, work in progress and finished goods
• Effective interpersonal skills, including listening and interpretation of instructions both oral and written
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret written instructions
• Problem solver, ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Knowledge of the processes, tools and operational considerations for effective and efficient movement of goods and materials throughout the manufacturing cycle
• Knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a manufacturing plant or facility

Physical Requirements & Work Environment
• Primarily works in an office environment with occasional time spent in a production and/or warehouse setting


 8am to 4:30pm
