Production Operator 3rd shift

SUMMARY – This position is responsible for operating the production machines, producing quality products on a timely basis, preparing products for shipment, receiving incoming goods, and moving materials around in the plant and warehouse areas. 

Job Duties:

•                      • Supports all safety objectives of the facility working in conjunction with management

•                      • Mixing components for plastic compounding. 

•                      • Operating plastic extrusion equipment, including set up, troubleshooting, adjusting, and performing quality control tests.

•                      • Filling hopper with compounds. 

•                      • Weighing and packaging product. 

•                      • Cleaning work area and machines. 

•                      • Operating a forklift truck to move material throughout the plant. 

•                      • Operating auxiliary equipment such as scales, driers, blenders, pumps, classifiers, conveyors, and injection molders.

•                      • Assists in training of others 

•                      • Continuous checks of product quality 

•                     • Good attendance. On time all the time and lead by example attitude.

•                      • Other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

•  Able to start, operate, troubleshoot, and shutdown single screw extruders, twin screw, and all the mixers.

•                      • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. 

•                      • 3+ years of experience in plastics industries. 

•                      • Experience with batch mixing. 

•                      • Experience driving a forklift. 

•                      • Familiar with lock out tag out procedures.
