Job Description



Under the direction of the Quality Assurance Supervisor, this person performs analysis as per our Policies and Procedures for open food process. Inspect in open food bagging ensures the safety and quality of the product along with the package integrity and all applicable food safety policies and procedures are adhered to.   
• Identifies issues and possible food risks in product or production process.
• Identify and report issues with non-conforming product to assure proper control, help to minimize losses, and provide analysis to drive the elimination of future occurrences.
• Develop verification and validation actions like microbiological or environmental swabs* , involved in HACCP plan in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.*
• Proactively identifies and prevents problems affecting food quality and food safety. Ensures compliance with regulatory guidelines, laws, quality tracking and HACCP.
• Support the monitor of quality assurance programs guidelines and testing procedures to ensure raw material to finished product are in compliance with regulatory and company specifications.
• Interact with the Production team in a timely manner to resolve quality issues on the production floor.
• Perform daily pre-op inspections documenting issues and corrective action.
• Perform operational sanitation inspections including verification of GMP's.
• Check metal detectors at start, each hour, document results and corrective actions.
• Perform line checks a minimum of twice per hour. These checks include the following: Net weights, check the code and / or the use by date, check label revision number, check, for proper documentation of ingredients and food contact packaging for traceability.
• Completes facility, ingredient and/or packaging material holds as needed.
• Assist in QA training of production in food safety programs including GMP's, HACCP, allergen control, food defense, traffic patterns and color codes.
• Evaluate sauce batches for ingredients, flavor, viscosity and pH before use. 


Previous Quality experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting

  Mon thru Thurs. (10 to 12) hours days when needed.
