Job Description

Quality Assurance Tech

Job Responsibilities:

Scheduling and perform all lab activities.

Perform product visual and dimensional inspection/verifications.

Perform and provide reporting for new and/or revised parts and components.

Complete inspection and documentation as required by internal or customer requirements.

Generate Initial Process Flow Diagram, Control Plan and Failure Mode and Risk Analysis

Learn and work in critical modules in database (Inspection & Testing, Internal Audits, Calibration)

Responsible for calibration and measurement system & analysis including updating & maintain all calibration database records.

Perform Calibration on internal mechanical equipment, when required

Perform product reliability / test evaluation.

Maintain and prepare both internal and supplier certification documentation.

Perform internal audits as assigned.

Assist in the resolution of customer complaints.

Assist maintaining ISO 9001 certification

Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

Strong Math Skills

Knowledge of ISO 9001

Experience with Metal Stamping and Fabrication (Laser Cutting, Forming, Welding and Assembly Processes).

2+ Years of experience performing close tolerance mechanical inspections

GD&T (ability to read, interpret and apply GD&T call outs to the measurement process)

Strong Computer Literacy (Microsoft Office Suites, Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, and Outlook)

Must have knowledge and skill using micrometers, calipers, height gauge and pin gauge. Skilled in use of Coordinate Measurement System (Keyence or similar) desirable.

Must have a High School diploma and knowledge in Quality, Manufacturing, and/or Engineering Disciplines. ASQ certification as Quality Technician, Engineer and or Auditor a plus.

Training in Measurement Systems Analysis and Statistical Techniques.

Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in quality within a metal or plastic manufacturing environment.

Experience and ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Must have good written and oral communication skills for reporting test results.
