Receiving Clerk

Position Summary:

Performs the receipt of incoming goods in compliance with established procedures.

Essential Functions:

Accurately completes receiving records and related documentation.

Performs incoming good inspections per approved procedures.

Organized department daily activities.

Coordinates and schedules the receipt of incoming goods with Customer Project Coordinators and Carriers.

Performs job operations, utilizing a data management system.

Interfaces with carrier delivery personnel.

Assists in training department personnel.

Initiates incident reports for non-conforming goods, inspection failures, etc.

Identifies and reports unusual conditions to Management.

Maintains a clean and orderly work area.

Complies with standard operating procedures, GMPs and safety guidelines.

Other duties as assigned.

Language Skills – Ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and employees.

Mathematical Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.

Reasoning ability – must have ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written and/or oral instructions.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

Required to stand and walk, sit, use hands to manipulate, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk, hear, taste, and smell. Fast paced production operations can be expansive, multi-level, noisy, and be very cold or very warm. The employee may be assigned to refrigerated work areas depending on the facility and product handling

requirements. The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; extreme heat; risk of electric shock, and vibration. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Required vision abilities include distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Education, Experience, and Required Skills

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Temporary to hire assignment

$16.00 to $17.00/hr depending on the skill set.

(Training will be on first shift for two to three weeks- 9am to 5 pm)

2nd shift: 4 pm to 1230 am but subject to change.
