Shipping Clerk-

Position Summary

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments, prepares items for shipment, and main point of contact with inbound/outbound drivers.

Job Duties:

• Schedule and coordinate with Carriers inbound and outbound shipments

• Check in drivers for inbound/outbound shipments and assigns dock doors

• Compare identifying information of incoming and outgoing shipments against bills of lading, orders, or other records.

• Create outbound Pick List according to product code, lot number, and quantity requested and assign to LTO.

• Verify items received are the correct items listed on the BOL/PO such as item and number ordered.

• Complete bill of lading for outbound shipments.

• Create and send customer a daily Carrier status report

• Create and send customer a Cut Report of outbound goods unable to ship.

• Resolve customer service issues with the client and carriers.

• Perform all functions in a safe and timely manner and provide quality customer service

Education Required -High School Diploma or Equivalent

• Education Desired -Associate's Degree

• Minimum 2 years of related experience in Warehouse

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel & Word) and shipping systems

• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, multi-tasking, organization, clerical, and basic math skills

• Ability to follow detailed instructions & procedures

• Professional, positive attitude, and strong work ethic

• Good verbal and writing communication skills

• Ability to work overtime
