Machine Operator/ Tender/Brake Press Operator

Fabrication/Sheet Metal Industry

We are seeking a skilled Welding Robot Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in robotic welding operations, including setup, programming adjustments, troubleshooting, and quality control. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient production while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor robotic welding systems to weld metal components according to specifications.
  • Load and unload parts (Sheet Metal Parts) into welding fixtures and ensure proper alignment.
  • Adjust and fine-tune robotic welding programs to optimize efficiency and quality.
  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on welding robots.
  • Inspect welded parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Work closely with engineers and supervisors to improve processes and resolve issues.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and work instructions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following safety protocols.
  • Complete production reports and documentation accurately and on time.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience: Previous experience as a welding robot operator or robotic welder in a manufacturing setting preferred.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with robotic welding systems (such as FANUC, ABB, Motoman, etc.), programming adjustments, and troubleshooting preferred
  • Welding Skills: Understanding of MIG welding processes, metallurgy, and material handling preferred
  • Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding symbols.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong quality control mindset and ability to inspect welds for defects.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for long periods, and work in a manufacturing environment.
  • Certifications: Welding certifications (AWS, etc.) are a plus but not required.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in welding or robotics preferred.
