Grinder Operator/ Machine

Level 2

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Proven experience as a grinding operator in a sheet metal fabrication environment.
• Proficiency in operating grinding equipment and tools. Strong understanding of grinding principles, techniques, and safety procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with different types of grinding wheels and their applications.
• Basic knowledge of metal properties and the effects of grinding.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Adherence to safety procedures and guidelines.

Job Duties:

• Set up and adjust grinding equipment, including wheel selection and positioning
• Operate precision grinding machines to achieve required tolerances and surface finishes
• Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure proper grinding procedures
• Monitor grinding processes and make adjustments as necessary
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams to resolve grinding related issues
• Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of grinding equipment
• Train and mentor entry-level grinding operators, as needed
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and perform quality checks on finished products
• Other duties as assigned

1st Shift starts at 5:00 a.m.

2nd Shift starts at 3:30 p.m.

Temporary to Hire

$17.00-19.00/hr DOE
