Shipping Clerk/ Forklift Driver

Job Duties:

• Observes and follows all safety rules and guidelines as per RPC safety training instruction.
• The shipping/receiving clerk provides preliminary incoming inspection for all purchased products, subcontracted processing and customer materials received.
• Ensures purchased material certifications are delivered to appropriate manager for all chemical deliveries.
• The clerk facilitates the movement of customer parts and purchased materials from the receiving areas to storage, holding or production.
• Controls identification of materials received and shipped ensuring proper handling and distribution.
• Provides original incoming documents to appropriate office and or QA personnel (for all returned orders) and attaches work orders to product for staging in each applicable department.
• Follows shipping and receiving processing steps as per documented work instructions.
• Communicates and interacts positively with freight company personnel, customer drivers, co­workers, production personnel, and upper management.
• Maintains production product staging areas organized, neat and clutter free.
• Maintains shipping/receiving areas clean, clutter free, and organized.
• Performs and maintains shipping motor lift trucks and electric forklift preventative maintenance as required.
• Any free time is dedicated to assisting production with packing or racking activities.
• Responsible for the quality of his own work Participates in external and internal problem- solving activities.

Requirements:

• Legible handwriting skills
• Able to drive a Forklift
• Able to use electric hand truck
• Able to use dollies to move material
• Able to lift between 0-50lbs
• Positively ask and move material as needed when receiving or shipping product out.
• Positive attitude – promotes Team environment Willingness to continually embrace personal and professional development
