Machine Operator

The machine operator will be responsible for following all production policies and procedures to support the operation. This individual will work with all department heads to support companywide operating objectives and will report to the Production Supervisor.

There are two types of machine operators:

The Compounder will operate automated mixing machinery to prepare products for packaging.

The Filler Operator will operate an automated packing machine to prepare products for shipping.

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow all Safety, Allergen Controls, Food Safety & Sanitation, Food Defense, and SQF policies and procedures relating to job duties
• Maintain productivity metrics, and daily, and weekly goals for production.
• Daily Pre-Operations Safety Checks
• Operate one line for production and lead the team assigned to line.
• Observes operation and speed of packing machine and adjusts when necessary.
• Clears jams and performs basic troubleshooting.
• Performs all quality inspections and completes forms.
• Responsible for maintaining work area clean and organized.
• Uses squeegee, brush, and broom to clean room for CIP and prepares machine.
• Other duties as assigned.

Environment:

• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Hair and beard net, gloves, safety shoes, bump cap, smocks
• Chemical Exposure: Cleaning Supplies and Food Allergens
• Temperature: Refrigerated 67 degrees Fahrenheit.

Qualifications:

• 1 year of experience in food safety in a food manufacturing environment preferred
• 1 yr of experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing environment
• Basic math skills
• Basic computer skills
• Intermediate reading and writing skills
• Ability to workday or evening shifts and weekends and holidays as needed.
• Ability to maintain a safe and positive work environment.
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to bend twist, stoop, squat, and pivot.
• Ability to walk and stand for 8+ hour shifts

$18.00-18.50/hr depending on shift

OT Available

Work schedules available are:

1st Shift Sunday-Thursday 4am-12:30pm

1st Shift Tuesday-Saturday 4am-12:30pm

2nd Shift Sunday-Thursday 12pm-8:30pm .25 shift Differential

3rd Shift Sunday- Thursday 8pm-4:30am .50 shift Differential

3rd Shift Tuesday-Saturday 8pm-4:30am .50 shift Differential
