Receiving Clerk
The Receiving Clerk is responsible for managing incoming shipments of materials, parts, and supplies essential to manufacturing operations. This role ensures all deliveries are accurately received, inspected, documented, and stored in accordance with company procedures and quality standards. The Receiving Clerk plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting production flow.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and delivery documentation
- Inspect materials for damage, defects, or discrepancies and report issues to appropriate departments (purchasing, quality, or supervision)
- Accurately enter receiving data into ERP or inventory management systems
- Label, tag, and store materials in designed warehouse or production locations
- Maintain inventory accuracy through proper documentation and cycle count support
- Follow all safety guidelines and standard operating procedures when handling materials and equipment
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of all incoming goods to support production schedules
- Communicate with vendors, carriers, and internal teams regarding shipment status, delays, or discrepancies
- Maintain organized and clean receiving and storage area in compliance with company standards
- Assist with inventory audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation of inventory discrepancies
- Prepare and distribute received materials to appropriate departments or staging areas
- Maintain proper documentation for compliance, traceability, and audit readiness
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory control and receiving processes
Meeting Customer Expectations:
- Comply with established plant rules and procedures that promote compliance with customer service-related activities, including, but not limited to:
- Following run-order specifications for each product
- Following all Good Manufacturing Practices in compliance with all Food Safety Requirements
- Actively engage in value-added activities that enhance our products and processes
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 3 years of experience in a warehouse, shipping/receiving, or manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience with inventory control systems or ERP platforms is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation
- Ability to reach and interpret purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documents
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/MRP systems
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities

$20.00/hr
Temporary
7 AM – 4 PM (Lunch hour 12 PM – 1 PM unpaid)
