Extrusion Operator

Under the direction of the Extrusion Manager and designated Production Supervisor, this position is responsible for extrusion machines and associated equipment in order to safely produce high-quality bags in accordance with the job safety analyses, production schedule, set-up instructions, operating procedures, quality specifications, and other published and verbal guidance.

Responsibilities:

• Understand and follow all JSA’s and safety procedures/policies
• Safely and efficiently set up and operate extrusion lines to produce high-quality HDPE film
• Operate extrusion lines in accordance with job safety analysis, standard operating procedures, quality procedures, and operator training to meet or exceed productivity requirements and minimize downtime and waste
• Ensure that proper materials are being used in accordance with procedures
• Monitor roll weights to ensure the correct gauge is maintained throughout the shift
• Assure proper packaging and labeling of film
• Complete daily production reporting

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work 12-hour day and night rotating shifts
• Work overtime as required
• Satisfactorily completes training courses as determined by management.
• Ability perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation.
• The commitment to stay safe and to continue to learn and develop.
• Satisfactorily completes training courses as determined by management.

18.00/hr

6:45am-7:00pm

And

7:00pm-6:45am

12 hour night / days rotating monthly shifts

2-2-3 schedule
