Janitor/Utility

The Utility Worker is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization across designated areas to support safe and efficient operations. This role performs general cleaning duties including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, restroom sanitation, and trash removal to ensure all workspaces meet company and regulatory standards. The Utility Worker is responsible for cleaning, stocking, and supplying assigned areas, while documenting completed tasks in accordance with quality policies and procedures. The role requires identifying and reporting any deficiencies, safety hazards, or repair needs to management in a timely manner. This position must strictly follow all health and safety regulations, company policies, and attendance guidelines, including the consistent use of required personal protective equipment (PPE). The Utility Worker operates in a fast-paced environment and must be able to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining attention to detail.

Job Duties:

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming of facility and common areas in the plant
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other designated areas to maintain hygiene standards
• Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables in accordance with company procedures
• Clean, stock, and replenish supplies (e.g., paper products, soap, sanitation materials) in assigned areas
• Safely handle and use cleaning chemicals in accordance with manufacture guidelines and company policy
• Maintaining cleaning equipment and report any malfunctions or needed repairs
• Inspect work areas and notify management of deficiencies, safety hazards, or maintenance needs
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and attendance guidelines
• Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations, including proper use of PPE
• Perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining quality standards
• Accurately document completed cleaning tasks and maintained required logs per quality policies
• Support production and warehouse teams with general housekeeping and utility tasks as needed
• Work collaboratively as a team player to ensure a clean, safe, and organized facility

Meeting Customer Expectations:

• Comply with established plant rules and procedures that promote compliance with customer service-related activities, including, but not limited to:
• Following run-order specifications for each product
• Following all Good Manufacturing Practices in compliance with all Food Safety Requirements
• Actively engage in value-added activities that enhance our products and processes

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Previous experience in industrial, manufacturing, or janitorial cleaning environments preferred
• Experience handling and working with cleaning chemicals safely
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to standard operating procedures
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness and quality standards
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle repetitive tasks for extended periods
• Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, lifting, and performing manual labor throughout the shift
• Basic documentation skills to accurately complete cleaning logs and reports
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Reliable attendance and punctuality in accordance with company policies
• Ability to wear and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Commitment to following all safety, health, and environmental regulations

7am-3:30pm

Monday thru Friday

$17.30 per hour
