Shipping Logistics Clerk

Job Duties:

• Trailers will arrive at the MTESC empty, containing unprocessed Mail Transport Equipment (MTE), return finished goods, or replenish finished goods (RPL).
• The Logistics Clerk shall enter the trailer number, the route number, trip number, trailer type, time, ate, carrier, and driver's name into the Mail Transport Equipment Support System (MTESS),
• The Logistics Clerk shall also ensure that the driver fills in the information requested on the Inbound Schedule Log, relating to either a scheduled run or an extra run.
• Give the trailer loaders the shipping orders in sequence of orders to be filled.
• Place finished paperwork in the folder corresponding with the Daily Dispatch Schedule.
• Both copies (the Bill of Lading and the shipping order) shall be filed in the daily folder.
• Confirm the shipping orders are in the correct sequence according to the dispatch schedule.
• Sign the Bill of Lading after driver signs.
• PPE – This activity requires every employee to wear PPE designed to mitigate hazards associated with the work and environment.
• All employees performing this activity shall wear at a minimum safety toe shoes, appropriate gloves, and safety glasses in accordance with Site Plan.

Requirements:

• Demonstrate competency with required MTESS application screens.
• Demonstrate competency in all yard management functions.
• Demonstrate competency in all order fulfillment and confirmation functions.
• Demonstrate competency in all yard inventory reconciliation functions. lean work area at the end of shift.
• Always follow found mail procedures.
